Connect a MikroTik router

5 min read

Point a MikroTik router at OneRezo so subscribers are authenticated, suspended and reconnected from one place.

Before you start

  • A MikroTik router you can sign in to
  • At least one plan and one test subscriber in OneRezo
  • A few minutes when the router is not busy

Add the router

  1. Open Routers in your workspace and choose Add router.
  2. Give it a name and the site it belongs to, such as the tower or venue.
  3. OneRezo shows you the RADIUS server details to enter on the router.

Point authentication at OneRezo

On the router, enter the RADIUS server address and shared secret that OneRezo gave you, and enable RADIUS for the service you use, such as PPPoE or hotspot.

Start smallConnect your smallest router first. The others keep working as they are until you switch them.

Test it

  1. Connect a test subscriber and check that a session appears in OneRezo.
  2. Suspend the subscriber and check that they are limited.
  3. Reconnect them and check that service returns.

Switch the rest

Repeat for each router when you are comfortable. See the migration guide for a calm plan.
